# Artifacts

Account-wide upgrades bought with Artifact Essence, the Codex and set bonuses.

File: `plugins/ClickEmCore/modules/artifacts.yml`. Module id: `artifacts`. Commands: `/artifacts`, `/artifact`, `/arti`, `/artifacts codex`.

Artifacts are account-wide upgrades leveled with a dedicated drop currency, **Artifact Essence**. They are deliberately not another Coins sink. Essence drops from mobs and goes straight to the balance (no item to pick up).

The shipped artifacts: Power, Speed, Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Health Regen, Max HP, Defense, Lifesteal, Boss Damage. There is a set bonus **Glass Cannon** (own Power, Crit Chance and Crit Damage for +5% Power).

Artifacts reset on [Rebirth](/lethium-docs/gameplay/rebirth.md).

### Essence drops (`drop:`)

| Key                          | Default   | Meaning                                                                                                                                             |
| ---------------------------- | --------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `essence-chance`             | 25.0      | Percent chance per kill, multiplied by the killer's Luck.                                                                                           |
| `essence-min`, `essence-max` | 2, 8      | Random amount each time it drops. Multiplied by the `essence-mult` stat.                                                                            |
| `mob-essence` | per world | Overrides per mob. Keys are exact ids or `prefix*` wildcards checked in order. Fields: `chance`, `min`, `max`. Any field left out uses the default. |

Essence scales by world. A World 5 mob pays much more than a World 1 mob, roughly 6 to 7 times per world, so time per unlock stays constant as players advance. Each world boss pays a guaranteed (`chance: 100.0`) large amount.

```yaml
drop:
  essence-chance: 25.0
  essence-min: 2
  essence-max: 8
  mob-essence:
    "W2Z*":
      min: 15
      max: 50
    W1Boss:
      chance: 100.0
      min: 250
      max: 600
```

### Artifact entry

```
| Key                        | Meaning                                                                                                                                                                 |
| -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `stat`                     | Which stat it boosts: `DAMAGE`, `ATTACK_SPEED`, `CRIT_CHANCE`, `CRIT_DAMAGE`, `HEALTH_REGEN`, `MAX_HEALTH`, `DEFENSE`, `LIFESTEAL`, `BOSS_DAMAGE`, `ESSENCE` and so on. |
| `max-level`                | Highest level (50).                                                                                                                                                     |
| `max-effect`               | The stat's percent value at max level. Levels in between grow evenly.                                                                                                   |
| `base-cost`, `cost-growth` | Essence cost per level.                                                                                                                                                 |
| `required-zone`            | Zone that must be unlocked to start it.                                                                                                                                 |
| `zone-gates`               | Each world unlocks another fifth of the levels.                                                                                                                         |
| `item.*`                   | Menu icon and lore. `custom-model-data-increment` can change the model per level. `overrides` replaces the icon for one level.                                          |
### Set bonuses
```yaml
set-bonuses:
  glass_cannon:
    artifacts: [power, crit_chance, crit_dmg]
    required-count: 3
    bonus:
      damage-mult: 5.0
```
Owning at least `required-count` of the listed artifacts (level 1 or higher) gives `bonus`.
### Respec
`respec-refund-percent: 50`: shift-clicking a leveled artifact resets it to level 0 and refunds that percent of the Essence spent. `0` turns respec off.
### How to
* **More Essence from mobs:** raise `essence-chance`, `essence-min` or `essence-max`, or add a `mob-essence` entry.
* **Cheaper artifacts:** lower `base-cost` or `cost-growth`.
* **A new artifact:** copy an entry, choose a `stat`, add `clickem.artifacts.<id>.name` and `.description` to `lang/en_us.yml`.
### Staff commands
`/ceadmin artifacts set <player> <artifact> <level>`, `/ceadmin artifacts reset <player> [artifact]`, `/ceadmin essence give|take|set <player> <amount>`.
### Placeholder
`%clickem_balance_essence%` and `%clickem_balance_essence_formatted%`.
## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.
Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:
```
GET https://lethium.gitbook.io/lethium-docs/gameplay/artifacts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```
`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
