# Modules

Every ClickEm module: its id, what it does, its file and its switch. Turn features on and off live.

ClickEm is built from **modules**. Each feature is independent: set `enabled: false` and it does **nothing at all**: no listeners, no commands, no scheduled tasks and none of its data is touched. You can switch modules on and off while the server runs.

### Switching at runtime

| Command                        | Effect                                     |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------ |
| `/clickem module list`         | Every module and whether it is on.         |
| `/clickem module enable <id>`  | Turn on and save it to `config.yml`.       |
| `/clickem module disable <id>` | Turn off and save it.                      |
| `/clickem module reload <id>`  | Re-read that module's file and restart it. |

You can do the same with the **Modules** button of `/ceadmin`.

Disabling a module removes its menus, commands and payouts, but anything other modules depend on may show 0 or nothing. For example, with `artifacts` off, Essence drops stop and abilities cannot be levelled.

Three **integration modules** connect other plugins and are switched under `integrations:` in `config.yml`: `vault`, `placeholderapi` and `luckperms`. Each is skipped safely if the other plugin is not installed.

Things that are **not** modules (always on): `/coins`, `/profile`, `/settings`, `/language`, `/tutorial`, `/ceadmin`, the stat system and the GUI framework.
